While living in Lake Tahoe, my wife, Patty, and I took a trip to North Idaho. As I crossed the Long Bridge into Sandpoint, I immediately felt that this area would be wonderful for us, as we have always been drawn to natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
Over the next couple of years, we sold our insurance business, put things in order and took off on a 12-month journey with our three kids. We came 'home' to Sandpoint. The small-town, artsy, comfortable lifestyle, unending beauty and, most of all, the friendly people still intrigue us. Once we settled in, our family pursued our interests; horses, skiing, hiking, boating, camping and school sports.
We established Panhandle Realty 17 years ago and later merged to become Panhandle Kaniksu Real Estate; the No. 1 sales office in our area. Tomlinson Black recruited our office, and my business partner, Debbie Ferguson, and I decided to build a sales team. We recently expanded our team, and it works great. We have set new records and continue to work toward total customer satisfaction.
Now that our kids are grown, Patty and I spend time enjoying our grandchildren and getting them acquainted with all that's here. The longer we're here, the more we love it!
