Growing up on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay, my backpacking father would take us to climb the highest mountains in the lower 48, as well as in Canada and even Africa. After graduating from college with a degree in journalism and a year abroad studying in France, I went to Park City, Utah, to ski and work at the resort. The beauty of the West coupled with the friendly people had a huge impact on me. I found myself never wanting to go back east. Then I met my husband – and now my Realtor teammate – Reid. While running our organic farming business eight months out of the year, we traveled to Alaska, Central America and around the country. After several years, we decided to find the perfect town and settle down, where we could boat, kayak, ski and hike from our back door. We wanted a town big enough to entertain and support us but small enough to give us a sense of community. Sandpoint, after much searching, was the only possible choice. More than a decade later, I am still thrilled to live in Sandpoint. I spent my first several years working at a boarding school north of town and at Schweitzer before turning my attention to real estate. Now I thoroughly enjoy working with families and individuals to find homes and investment properties in a place I love and have grown to know so well. We are also raising two boys who I hope will make their home here when they grow up. I plan on being here forever, working towards bettering my community and reaping the benefits of such a wonderful area. |
